Tim is currently serving as the coordinator for the Soil and Environmental Sciences Analysis Lab and is the primary operator of the FlashSmart and Picarro systems. For his own research, Tim is interested in using stable isotope tracers to examine the degradation of highly condensed carbon compounds (e.g. biochar or carbon nanomaterials) in soils.

Gloria is currently serving as the lab manager and research technician for the Zhu-Barker Soil Biogeochemistry Lab. She is the primary operator of the Teledyne Fusion TOC instrument, and also runs gas samples on the Shimadzu GC and liquid inorganic nitrogen sample on the Shimadzu spectrophotometer.
